Marta Miranda-Straub was appointed by Gov. Andy Beshear as the Commissioner of the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) on July 1, 2020. She brings 47 years of leadership, teaching, writing, and social work practice to this position. In this episode, Miranda-Straub describes how her time in eastern Kentucky shaped her core values, and enabled her to recognize potential in everyone.
